  • Every organization on a Drupal 10 site faces the same question: what does moving to Drupal 11 actually cost, and how long will it take? That's what the free audit answers — with numbers, not vague estimates.

The audit is a 60-minute working session with a Drupalify engineer. No sales pitch, no obligation. You leave with a written report you can take to your CFO, your agency, or your internal team and make a decision on.

What we cover in the 60 minutes

    Minutes 0–15: Your site as-is

    • Current Drupal version (7, 8, 9, 10, or a 10.x minor) and PHP version
    • Security-patch status: which releases you're on, whether you're already past your patch window
    • Platform: self-hosted, Pantheon, Acquia, or CloudWays — and what that means for the upgrade path

    Minutes 15–30: Compatibility scan

    • Which contributed modules are already Drupal 11-compatible, which need a replacement, which are abandoned
    • Custom module inventory: how much custom code will need Rector automation vs. manual rewrite
    • Theme: is it the Drupal core starter theme, a contributed theme, or fully custom Twig — and what that changes about the migration

Minutes 30–45: Effort, timeline, and cost

    • Realistic effort estimate for your specific site (not a "one size fits all" range)
    • Timeline to a working Drupal 11 staging site, then go-live
    • Three cost scenarios:
      1. Self-managed — you do the migration in-house; what we'd need to hand you
      2. Managed platform — Pantheon, CloudWays, or Acquia: upgrade + platform migration together
      3. Fully-supported migration — Drupalify handles the migration end to end, including testing and cutover
    • PHP environment: whether you need an 8.3 upgrade first, and what that adds (commonly $2,000–$8,000, often missing from other quotes)

    Minutes 45–60: Your next step

    • The 30-day plan for your site specifically (not a generic checklist)
    • Which decision to make now vs. which can wait until after go-live
    • What happens if you do nothing past December 9, 2026 — the specific risks, not the scare tactics

What you receive after the call

    • Written audit report (within 48 hours): the full findings above, in a format you can share internally
    • Three cost scenarios side by side, with trade-offs named explicitly
    • Recommended next step for your situation — not an upsell

If you decide not to proceed with Drupalify, the report is still yours. It's a scope document you can take to anyone else and negotiate from, which is exactly the point.

    Is it really free?

Yes. The audit costs nothing and has no obligation. It exists because organizations that book a migration in July–August 2026 (standard rates, calm timeline) get a better outcome than organizations that call in October (Q4 premium, compressed schedule). The audit is how we help you make that decision on the right timeline rather than the wrong one.

    Who should book this

    • Any organization on Drupal 10, working to the December 9, 2026 end-of-life date
    • Any organization on Drupal 7, 8, or 9 — your deadline already passed; the audit covers the longer, more involved migration path
    • Any organization running Pantheon, Acquia, or CloudWays who wants the platform-migration + version-upgrade combined picture

    FAQ

Does the audit include a quote for the migration itself?
It includes three cost scenarios (self-managed / managed-platform / fully-supported), which functions as a quote range for the fully-supported path. It is not a fixed-price contract — that comes after you choose a scenario.

What do you need from us before the call?
Access to a staging environment or read access to your production database, and roughly 15 minutes to answer questions about your current setup. We'll send a short checklist before booking.

How long is the written report?
Typically 4–8 pages: version/patch status, module inventory, effort estimate, timeline, the three cost scenarios, and the recommended next step.

Can you do this for a multi-site or headless setup?
Yes — the same 60 minutes apply; the report will be longer and cover each site or consuming app separately.

What if we're on a platform we're not sure you work with (e.g. AWS/Azure, not Pantheon)?
The audit covers the technical migration regardless of platform; the platform-migration scenario will flag whether a platform move is worth bundling into the same project.
