How Drupalify Prices Drupal Work
Drupalify engagements are scoped around platform complexity, delivery risk, required expertise and ongoing responsibility. Some work is best priced as a fixed-scope project; other work is better delivered through a monthly support plan or reserved development capacity. After an initial discussion, we will confirm scope, assumptions, deliverables and commercial terms before work begins.

Fixed-Scope Project
For defined pieces of work
A defined engagement with agreed deliverables, timeline and price. Suitable for Drupal builds, migrations, custom module development, accessibility remediation and performance improvement projects. Final price depends on scope: discovery required, content volume, custom code complexity, integrations and testing requirements. All fixed-scope work is quoted after an initial discussion.
Monthly Care Plan
For ongoing maintenance and support
A recurring arrangement for planned Drupal maintenance, security updates, agreed support hours and monthly reporting. Available in three tiers: Essential, Growth and Advanced. Provides a predictable monthly cost and a named Drupal support team. See Care Plans for tier comparison.
Agency Capacity Block
For agencies with ongoing delivery needs
Reserved Drupal development hours per month for agencies and teams with predictable ongoing delivery requirements. Agreed skill set, availability window, time zone and delivery model. White-label delivery available. Capacity blocks are reserved development time and are not project-based engagements.

What Drives the Price
Drupal version
Current supported versions are Drupal 10 and Drupal 11. Sites on Drupal 7 (EOL December 2026) or Drupal 9 (EOL November 2023) require additional assessment and migration planning, which affects scope and cost.
Custom module count
Each custom module requires code review, compatibility testing and regression validation during updates. A site with 10 custom modules takes significantly more care effort than one with two.
Contributed module count
Sites with many contributed modules require more update testing. A site with 80 contrib modules takes longer to update safely than one with 20.
Third-party integrations
CRM, ERP, payment gateways, analytics platforms and SSO integrations add scope to migrations and increase ongoing maintenance complexity.
Content volume
Affects migration effort significantly. Content count, media files, file attachments, URL structures and redirect requirements all add to migration scope.
Hosting environment
Managed hosting with built-in staging (such as Pantheon, Acquia or Platform.sh) reduces update risk and delivery effort. Self-managed servers may require additional DevOps work.
Response time requirement
Faster guaranteed response windows (for example a P1 critical security issue within two hours) require a higher care plan tier.
Number of sites
Multi-site Drupal installations require separate scoping. Agencies managing multiple client sites should ask about capacity block pricing.

Share your website, Drupal version, current support setup and what you need. No fee. Approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Scope and proposal
Drupalify confirms scope, assumptions, deliverables and commercial terms in writing before any work begins.

Agreement and onboarding
Agree the engagement in writing, sign the service agreement and provide necessary platform access.

Delivery and reporting
Work begins according to agreed scope. Regular updates and reporting as defined in the engagement terms.
For new care plan clients, Drupalify conducts a site baseline assessment at onboarding. This documents the starting condition of the platform and ensures both parties have a shared understanding before the plan begins.

Project costs depend on scope: platform complexity, custom module requirements, integrations, content volume and testing needs. After an initial discussion, we confirm scope and provide a fixed-price proposal. Care plans start from $299 per month. Assessments start from $499.
Care plans include planned Drupal core and contributed module updates via Composer, agreed support hours for issue resolution, monthly reporting and backup and uptime monitoring where platform access permits. New feature development is not included and is separately quoted.

Migration projects are scoped based on current platform version, content volume, custom module count, integrations, hosting environment and target Drupal version. We start with a Migration Discovery engagement from $999 to establish the full scope before quoting the migration project.
